''habeas corpus'' Brief Preview
The ''habeas corpus'' notion is a fundamental right in natural law and consequently in International Law. The objective of the norm is to protect citizens against unlawful and indefinite imprisonment.
The legal concept is historically an important instrument to safeguard individual freedom against arbitrary executive power.
